Many of my good friends decided to launch a snowboard magazine before the start of last season in order to deliver the best coverage of the deserving snowboard scene of ‘La Belle Province’. Written in French, I had the honor of being asked to conduct the first issue’s ‘pièce de resistance’, an interview with arguably the best snowboarder to come out of the province of Québec, and my close friend, David Carrier-Porcheron, aka DCP.
I’ve interviewed David many times so it was a challenge to find a new angle. Luckily for me, with a new baby girl in his life, there were changes to explore and I was happy with the result as I feel I managed to get close to the core of the beautiful human being David is. I hope you got the chance to pick it up!
With a photographic backbone provided by big-time lens master Oli Gagnon, editorial direction coming from the heart of the snowboard scene by professional snowboarder Etienne Gilbert and with the collaboration of multiple hat wearing Etienne Tremblay who splits his time between riding hard and filming/editing/directing Sugar Shack productions, the magazine deserves for you to check it out. Here are the covers for the first go-around:
I know it’s summertime but for those already itching for the first snowfall, you will want to check out the Shack’s new teaser, it’s worth your time and will get you antsy for those cold fall days.
