Different perspectives always fascinate me, photography or otherwise. This incredible photo of David Maisel reminded me of a photo I shot coming in to L.A. a few years ago and that you can check out by clicking the thumbnail below.
Although it is obviously not as beautiful – amongst other things, I’ve got the reflection of the plane’s window in my shot – it strikes quite a resemblance as it could be the same highway interchange. His site is worth a look for more stunning photographs of his touring exhibition of ‘Black Maps’ and for photos shot from above, Yann Arthus-Bertrand is a must see. He’s got several thousand amazing desktop photos available for download on his site.
